In 2024 we will continue to support learners, teachers and support staff working with learners who are Deaf or hard of hearing. We will also announce more information soon about two exciting new projects that we will be supporting in 2024:
A pilot Auslan and English skills course for Deaf migrants which will be delivered by the Adult Migrant English Program at Box Hill Institute.
Research looking at how we can improve support services for Deaf and hard of hearing learners transitioning to TAFE. This research will be carried out by the University of Melbourne with funding from the Melbourne Disability Insitute.
We are looking forward to working with Deaf Victoria on both projects, and sharing more information when we can.
