deafConnectEd’s pilot ‘I am Ready’ transition program for students who are deaf or hard of hearing was a great success.
Delivered by a team of deaf facilitators over six days, the program provided participants with information, hands on activities, tours of educational providers and a series of guest presenters, all designed to help them think through their study and employment opportunities. The program was made possible through the generous support of Melbourne Polytechnic, Deaf Children Australia and a range of other partners.
Planning has already commenced on an even more exciting program for 2017.
